Yes, I just checked, even so, that’s a nice bonus, I didn’t log in for 48 hrs and it was done, I’d have been more than happy to have loaned coins but I’ve never moaned about it, and am grateful to those who helped out.

Yes, it is a pity that the opportunity for participation was so limited. I was hesitating, because the limit of 100k was so much in regards to what I had. I’m glad I made a quick decision and took the risk. In the end the amount they took from me was well below that, almost half smaller, because:
the opportunity has been oversubscribed leaving us unable to accept full initial offers.
Instead, we have used a weighting system to apportion the number of MAID we can accept form each applicant.
Lex liked the original tweet from early March. That was probably the best time to reach out to him.

There is no effort to get one either. If we avoid the crypto market and its interviews which any project can get then we must seek out interviews outside it right?
Lex and other podcasts aside, it is a strange approach to building awareness for the project considering we have public testnets.
I’m not a naysayer. Most of the people I know that bought MAID can’t understand at this point why there is no marketing it the traditional sense. It makes folk feel uneasy. Rather than tried and true promotion this is going to be promoted experimentally.
Also ETH was mentioned above. Vitalik was on every show that would have him talking about the project in the early days. Not that I’m a fan of ETH.

It doesn’t make folk uneasy, it gives people who are addicted to criticism because they can’t contribute positively something to hide behind.
I’m utterly feed up with this, from the same people, who do damage to the project because they don’t have the will to get out there and do the things they say they want to see happen.
If you don’t have anything positive to contribute I suggest you at least refrain from negativity and criticism for the sake of it.
If you want marketing, go and market, and stop wasting your energy and that of everyone else whining about what you want others to do for you.

I’m sure David didn’t miss this opportunity to hurt the project, and he doesn’t need to explain why he missed it.
Regarding the marketing of the project, in my opinion, the community should be leading. Just as Bitcoin does not have a centralized marketing to be attacked and destroyed by people who hate Bitcoin, so it would be good for us to act as decentralized as possible, trying different tactics, and if one turns out to be particularly successful, we can focus on it.

I tell everyone I know and even those I don’t about the project. I’m doing what you say. It’s a strange approach. The fact we have open source code and no leadership on promotion should and does concern people.
There was a 1.3 billion dollar filecoin farm that was just announced. When people with that kind of money see no marketing and open source code they will make their own version. This is not the early days of BTC. It’s a totally different world. I’d like to see Safe Network be the known name in the market not a copy based on greed.

I am trying to understand this point. It seems folk want to help but do so in ways that are destructive. I think for good reason and I don’t want to fall out with them, but it feels like ivory tower stuff and I do react badly to that. No offence @Knosis
Should this not be your goal or do you want leadership where I can control you? (I’m not yer guy)
The time will come, and come it will, but it’s not now. If you have patience then you might be very surprised, but if you play the game everyone knows you will be … well obvious!

I just want to remind all how ants are looking for food. Individuals go around independently and if they find a food source, they leave a chemical trail on the way from it. This is a tried and tested way in nature. Decentralized. Without central control. For maximum effect.

I am in total agreement mate! It’s great to have different opinions, views and angels. At the same time I fell in love with this project, not just because of what we’re trying to accomplish (obviously still the most important thing) but because of the amazing community that we have.

Hi, just a thought, would it be possible to list MAID on ThorSwap? It uses the native chain so no need to switch to ERC20 and would provide access via a DEX. Would requrie contact with the devs at Thorchain and also community support to provide enough liquidity. There is a pair with Bitcoin so it could be possible? (not a dev so don’t know the full details).
