Sadly @Sascha has failed to respond to direct email and any other way I could think to get in touch with him.
IIRC his last actions was to ban me for a month (my own fault, no complaints) and then he disappeared – a serious loss to the community

Guys. I is flattering that you still remember me. I did what I could, but sadly, I gave up on the project and hardly visit the forum anymore. I still get automatic e-mails if my nick is mentioned. No amount of rebranding, renaming and “soon” can fix something for which there apparently never even was a clear plan to begin with. Is the consensual censorship function done yet? Had I been able to read the code myself, I would have noticed the hollowness earlier, the way others did.

Here’s my secret to dealing with this reality on the forum, in 6 easy tips.
- Treat the whole thing like a Monty Python extended 10 year comedy sketch.
- Don’t get emotionally involved, no matter what happens just enjoy the show.
- Don’t invest any money. Gambling is very toxic.
- Most importantly, don’t do work. But cheerlead what anyone else is doing.
- Remember what Jesus said, “Don’t throw your pearls to pigs. They will trample them into the mud.”
- If the project does succeed, you believed in it all along. Was there ever any doubt?

What is important is you are here and breathing (cos I really was worried) and have lost none of your fire. I hope you will regain your enthusiasm for the project. As with everything,it never goes quite the way we want it and we need to make the best of it.

Has anyone else had a massive jump in the quantity of rewards they’re receiving starting about 2 days ago?
It seems to have multiplied, which is odd.
I expected to look at addresses and see a drop in rewards due to the planned reduction, but I’ve seen the opposite.
One server I have running earned about 0.08 ANT per node in the last 24 hours… that would be equivalent to ~4m ANT being paid out every day if multiplied by 50m nodes. Even if 50m is an overestimate, it seems like too much.
Does anyone know how to check how much the smart contract is paying out, as unless I’m reading something wrongly, emissions seem to be sky high & should be a fraction of what I’m seeing.
Edit: Doesn’t seem like too much is being paid out in general from emissions, but it seems like my nodes are earning way too much.

Did you upgrade to the release 2 days ago? 
No. I think the latest release was just the client, not nodes.
I looked at the 4 addresses that emit, and they don’t seem to be emitting too much, but my nodes seem to be earning far too much. Odd.
I wonder if there’s been a mass exodus of nodes, so rewards per node are up? No indication about this from elsewhere, so I doubt it’s the case.
I’ll try to dig a bit more another time to figure out why my nodes seem to suddenly be earning loads more.
Edit: maybe it’s just that old node versions are being excluded from rewards ahead of 24th?

I’m not gonna lie, the emission is extremely frustrating right now even though I’m on the good end of earnings. The issue is that several people have mentioned payments to be completely unpredictable. Here is the ratio that I’ve been working with for weeks already (with ups and downs depending on node count)
Hetzner: 1,33 ANT per 1000 nodes
Home: 0.4 ANT per 1000 nodes
Other datacenter (not disclosing for obvious reasons 
): 7.33 ANT per 1000 nodes
The sample-size is way too big to be unfortunate or lucky.

If people read carefully, there is issues with quoting being worked on. And since quoting is at the bottom of how emissions are issued then I’d expect a difference between datacentre and home nodes. How much a difference I cannot tell from the issues.

Fwiw, I’m getting about this from home atm.
I have 2800 nodes atm, earning about 20 ANT per day. I switched them all onto the same address in a couple of blocks, so it is a bit tricky to compare, especially as some were dropping off the daily catch.
Also, relay node duties seem way down. I had 2 boxes on their knees. The were down from 400 odd to 10 nodes and my bandwidth was getting smashed by them. So I switched them off for 48 hours and since then, they are running around 400 nodes again.
So, with all that, it’s hard to put a number on the increase, but it is probably double a few days ago, but for a mixture of the above reasons.

From home I get about 2 ANT a day from 2300 nodes on 2 different ISP connections. And starlink is earning about same rate as the NBN landline connection. Both have about 35Mbps uplink

For the past couple of days I’ve been getting 80 ANT from 1000 nodes. Great, but, probably not great!
Let’s hope the quoting issue can be solved quickly and spreads out rewards & eventual earnings more evenly.

Oooooh - crap - I naively initiated an upgrade and since I started the new nodes the earned token have decreased to 5-6 ant for 6k nodes oO
Edit: guess I should have waited until I had the time to read more carefully and act (not) accordingly…
