Are you feeling ok mate? Should we be worried?! The dlvb account was a joke, I didn’t think it would affect you so much that you would start saying something positive every now and then.
why you find me so interesting? mayb stay ontopic, arent you a mod on discord? psychology of internet people so funny, so revealing too
(mightyfool instant reply coming)
To be fair you’re asking multiple questions at once’s, some are retorical. At the same time you’re asking me to stay ontopic. It’s difficult to do all at the same time
You gotta make up your mind. ![]()
Yesterday was the first green closing weekly candle we’ve had in 12 weeks ![]()
I have to say it’s nice to see that.
Kinda interesting seeing ANT changing course as soon as BTC starts breaking it’s 3 month down trend. ![]()
Hopefully thats our low side done, its been a great price for those wanting to accumulate.
Suggestion : There really needs to be an explanation in docs here about BRIDGING between USDC purchased from an exchange to the arbitrum network. Without this part the rest of the instructions don’t get you very far, even if you earned a gazillion ants you still need to purchase ETH to spend them. Which means bridging between networks. For me this has been the most complex and confusing hurdle to uploading onto the autonomi network. . Even AI gets confused trying to explain how to do this. I’ve not managed to get the 3 different crypto currencies required to get there to talk to each other. All I wanted to do was test a file upload onto the network. Sigh.
Bridging isnt that complex.
I was lazy, bought usdc on exchamge ( not on arb ) traded it to usdc ( on arb ).
Im fairly sure btidging can be done within metamask, and there will be plenty of videos etc already showing how to.

It’s fairly easy, but annoyingly familiar as to how idiotically inaccessible crypto used to be. So if your point is no-one outside our milieu is going to use the network this way, it’s quite valid. Keep complaining pls
does anyone have a logical explanation for the increase in Autonomi addresses with more than 0 ANT in them? We’ve seen a massive reduction over the first year, which was easily explained by pre-network reward incentives being beneficial on multiple addresses. However, over the last month I’ve seen in increase in ANT holder addresses of over 500, that seems like a pretty large number for such a small community.
The point is most people would not have a clue what bridging is or that bridging is needed - this is not mentioned in the docs. So many differnt things required:
-
Sign up to centralized exchange hand over passport details/images wait a day for approval (figure it out yourself)
-
Install metamask wallet (follow 2 pages of well written instructions on Autonomi docs) .
-
Buy some USDC from the exchange (figure it out yourself)
-
Use the exchange to trade USCD for some ETH on mainnet (figure it out yourself)
-
realise that not all ETH is equal - you can’t buy ants with mainnet eth (WTF)
-
Discover bridging - learn about arbitrum vs mainnet (figure it out yourself)
-
Find a centralised service that bridges mainnet ETH to arbitrum ETH (figure it out yourself)
-
find another, different centralised exchange service (eg UNISWAP) that allows swaps then swap ETH for ANTS (figure it out yourself)
Honestly, do you think most people with no experience of crypto find this easy?
In my experience I got multiple failure and frustration trying to get between between 1 and 8. I know I am retarded, but I am pretty sure most people less retarded than me will find it daunting and absolutely infuriating to discover how difficult it is to use currency on the network. They won’t be coming back for a long time if that’s their first experience using autonomi. Needs hand holding instructions, and even that won’t make it easy, just slightly less difficult.
Bridging is simple with https://portal.arbitrum.io/bridge
Probably someone took advantage of my idea to print ANT banknotes with different denominations 1, 2, 5, 10, 100 ![]()
Check out the Impossible Futures!
Most of what you wrote is not exactly true, but to avoid bothering you, here are 2 easy ways to get ANT or ETH. Metamask has a Swap function, you can use it to swap Ethereum ETH for Arbitrum ANT (just click on the second token in the swap interface and choose Arbitrum for network)
You will pay MM a 0.875% fee for this facility. In the same way, you can swap Ethereum ETH for Arbitrum ETH. And the transfer fee is quite expensive at $0.57, so put more ETH in one transaction.
The second way is to use ANT directly to upload with Dave and Paymaster, in this option you don’t need ETH for transactions, only ANT.

Have you looked at 1inch ?
Great for exchamging.
Metamask is closed source. Not going there. But thanks anyway.
I agree with you, there needs to be a lot more information, videos and such on how to bridge and such. As it is early days then there is a good amount of time before it becomes critical even if it is good if it happens as soon as possible. Crypto people will probably be among the first to use Autonomi. I have been thinking about making shorts about how to buy USDC, ANT’s, Bridge and so on.
With that said it seems to be possible to setup a paymaster account so you only need to use ANT’s when paying for storage, don’t know if there is a guide for that yet.
Thanks, but requires android/phone. Trading crypto on android is dumb (& highly insecure). Just another attack vector to add to the stack IMO.
Yes, paying with ANTS only is good step but it isn’t solving much to onboard since you still have to get ETH anyway in order to purchase ANTS on arbitrum
