A place to record instances where governments and others (corporations, lobby groups etc) attempt to prevent people from using technologies freely.
Mainly focused on things which might have a direct impact on users, developers and participants in Autonomi.

The Danish government plan to prevent use of technology such as VPNs and Autonomi:
I expect more of this.

Chatcontrol is kind of old news already for everyone privacy focused, but for reference here is the excellent website of Patrick Breyer which is a go-to for anyone who wants to stay up to date on that matter.
https://www.patrick-breyer.de/en/posts/chat-control/
Chatcontrol now transformed into a “voluntary” system (with vague guidelines but high fines) and effectively privatized the enforcement to app and platform (operating systems?) providers which makes it even more dangerous (different rules, over-monitoring).
With the plans to “block" access to social media for children (see Australia), what will effectively be the result: Itentity enforcement on all levels (websites, apps, even maybe OS-level). Will there be ways around that for privacy focused people? Surely yes! But “Joe Normal” will be tracked everywhere.
This is one of my biggest concerns about the success of autonomi actually: If it ever gets big enough to be “on the radar”, there will be a big push to prevent access to it (and other privacy focused, decentral platforms) maybe even on OS-level. Although you can get around that easily (e.g. with Linux), it will be limiting the growth of the network for mass adoption.
