ANT Token - Price & Trading topic

This is not something subject to proof - you cannot prove a negative fact ie. that the network is not hacked. That’s why I’m talking about social pressure from the general public to use decentralized networks by businesses.

I can say then, that centralised storage could be also hacked (and it was happen) and they storage data there

Yes and that’s why there are regulations on how not to get hacked. Every hack = new regulations. If you’ve complied with the regulations and you get hacked, you’re not responsible, and that’s what businesses care about.

I suspect once the bigger companies have caught up all these little apps will have replaced their ‘centralised data’ business models.

A dream, stop 10 people on the street and ask them when they last changed something they use. Big corporations are big because people have a hard time changing their habits. You need total censorship to be able to convince even a small percentage to change Facebook or X or Gmail for example…

Every time a company leaks user data, whether through a hack or incompetence, it could be turned into an opportunity for Autonomi. Eventually, as Autonomi proves itself, it could become a legal liability for companies to not secure user data with Autonomi.

If the same changes actually are improvements for both the small and big players.

I can also see a situation, where the big datacenter players gain initial foothold, and actively resist changes that would allow smaller players to the same field. Their network gain more data, more use cases, more popularity - but less resilience.

Like if this current network would vote on some changes with “one node, one vote” basis. Compared to if the voting would happen after the small players are already in, even preferred, and no rewards with empty nodes. Note, that this is pure speculation at this point.

I’m just trying to keep the peace around here. There’s lots of anxiety. Love you Southside

can’t see it, but a good sign if it even briefly made it into the list. The rockets starting engine must be testing. :rocket:

The first time I’ve seen that since the early Maidsafe days.

And just to add… look at the shitcoins in that list. Shouldn’t be hard to break into it more permanently with a push to get more awareness that there is a project with massive fundamentals and is actually decentralized.

Yes everybody is a bit stressed and sensitive, only to be expected after 18 years on the road. Even the Grateful Dead had their issues after decades plugging away

Does it make anyone else real sad that pointless meme coins hit hundreds of millions or billions in market cap, and a project like this is left wallowing in squalor?

Yes but wild price swings wouldn’t be helpful in the long term.

Doubt it. But using 60K ports, it is unlikely. Its in a bare metal server (data-centre) provider according to the IP address.

NAT or no NAT the port number has to be exposed to the internet. How else are responses supposed to get back to the right node.

Lets face it the random rewards at such levels cannot be an ongoing thing, since it causes centralisation into the hands of those who can afford upfront costs and can spend the time setting up these servers

Only when the token price approaches zero can spare resources rise up.

The answer of course is to reduce or redirect the interim rewards scheme.

But it seems the goal at this time is to maximise the number of nodes to expose flaws.

I can see youtubers are starting to talk about ANT. I can see some momentum coming.

Sure, but it could be multiple boxes behind a NAT.

Agree rewards should change sooner rather than later. Maybe team are waiting on reliable uploads first? That can then take over payments to nodes.
