An app to share links anonymously

There’s a problem we have yet to solve: how to share a link (or any other data) anonymously.

I wonder if this could be done by an app which creates a Scratchpad that’s findable by the app, writeable by anyone, and creates a new one some of the time when someone uses the app to share a link, but writes the link to a random existing Scratchpad rather than one just created.

The app can find all Scratchpads created by it (somehow TBD).

Writing to a random existing Scratchpad so ownership of the Scratchpad doesn’t correlate with the sharer.

I’m not sure there’s a way to make Scratchpads writeable by anyone though, so this may not be feasible. But I think the idea could be adapted in a way that works.

I can’t remember if there’s a way for anyone to write to a Register, but if so that might be adapted to this. Maybe writing the owner secret to the start of a Register would work. Or the app could contain the owner secret for creating all Scratchpads etc. So I think it’s feasible.

The app has a facility to look for new links being published to those Scratchpads and collect them in your own private Scratchpad, with filters and categories to allow you to organise them.

I don’t think this is feasible exactly as described but hope it gives an idea of how to build something that allows anonymous sharing without leaving the network. I don’t have time to work on this idea, let alone the code, but maybe someone will be inspired to pick it up.
