In the hands of amateurs? Yes.
So only professionals can discuss scientific papers and form an opinion on the subject?

Softheaded Government
… idiocracy needs its idiots
Ribir devs have worked quickly to sort the problem of ribir not actually being in crates.io yet.
it still needs a lot of switching between stable and nightly but if you can get over that, it may be worth a closer look despite what i said the other day.
Ribir/quick_start.md at master · RibirX/Ribir · GitHub is definitive for now at least.

in other news, capitalism kills our planet
biden would be better advised to sort out the shit in his own country instead of grandstanding in Kiev to the soundtrack of fake air-raid sirens.
but that wouldnt suit the zio-banksters and the gullible snowflake liberal fools that try to enforce the prescribed group-think.

I’d just like to point out a clear distinction can be drawn between “capitalism” and “free enterprise”. Capitalism as we know it is inextricably linked with the concept of Corporations which are granted a limited liability shield by government. Therefore people directing the corporation are (mostly) free from personal responsibility for their actions, which may sometimes be harmful to customers or the planet. This public/private partnership might actually be considered a weak form of fascism.
One can envision a true free enterprise system in which corporations do not exist at all, or anyways receive no special privilege from government and are no different from any other group of individuals. If a customer can directly sue any decision maker in a business, I believe that would tend to make businesses both smaller and more responsible. (fewer conglomerates, more small entrepreneurs)
anyways those are usually my thoughts when I hear someone talking about the evils of capitalism.
Capitalism creates abundance. Fascism ruins the planet. People need to be able to save and invest in higher quality things to grow and expand human resources and wealth. Fascism (and the bankers) destroy our ability to save (competition is sin) in order to suppress competition and keep their cronies in power (fascism).
We don’t have capitalism, we have fascism where only the 0.0001% are allowed to be capitalists. These people at the top didn’t earn their wealth as free-market capitalists do, so they have no respect for what they have.
Stores files as bits (similar to a form of 2D barcode) and allows resizing/quality as long as the pattern is not lost.
This would work as a way of defeating censorship when people wish to transfer information. Until of course they develop ways to read that and censor accordingly, until the pattern encoding/encryption is changed, until …
But of course the project is contrary to you tubes TOS which says the videos cannot be for the purpose of storing files (videos or data) not intended for publication and/or as a personal file storage.
Michael Sonnenshein is the CEO of Grayscale, he is rightfully (IMO) attacked for a lack of ethics … He won’t EVER be coming back on the show.

Do Ordinals Make Bitcoin Better or Worse Money? With Rob Hamilton
Rob Hamilton is a co-founder and the CEO of AnchorWatch. In this interview, we discuss ordinals and ordinal inscriptions: what they are, how they work, what risks and benefits do they present to Bitcoin, how would we mitigate negative impacts, and how the rest of the ecosystem is responding.
Bitcoin Ordinals aren’t going away. So much of this episode validates how superior the Safe Network is going to be and how many more problems bitcoin is going to encounter in the future and have trouble overcoming. Bullish for SN.
Fox News, Hannity and other hosts, and by proxy Murdoch, all promoted what they believed to be lies about the US election being stolen so as not to upset their viewers, even though Murdoch admits it was “bad for everyone”.
The Fox hosts were also privately critical of members of Trump’s team, including Sidney Powell, an attorney who claimed that Dominion’s machines had changed votes cast for Trump to Joe Biden. In a deposition, Hannity said: “That whole narrative that Sidney was pushing, I did not believe it for one second”.
Still, the network continued to give coverage to proponents of the election fraud narrative as it feared upsetting its viewers.
Dominion’s defamation case is being described as a “landmark”. A Harvard law professor recently told the Guardian he had “never seen a defamation case with such overwhelming proof that the defendant admitted in writing that it was making up fake information in order to increase its viewership and its revenues”.
Will those who were lied to and accepted these lies, begin to question the narrative they were part of, the motives of those creating them, or will they double down because… well for whatever reason they chose this despite more credible narratives and the facts? ![]()
And maybe acknowledge those who didn’t believe the lies, and tried to point out the reasons why? ![]()
