OK the post is hidden by a poster with trust level 3 status, then moderators are alerted and a auto generated message is sent to the post author. The system uses the chief admin’s “hook” to inform the author.
There is a guideline about cross posting and also its good form that if a post is in offtopic then posting it or a link in the more public area is frowned upon for obvious reasons.
Then there is a guideline that moderation is to be left to moderators. Suggestions and/or complaints about moderation are to be posted in a topic in Meta [EDIT:] to all reading this, I only now caught up with the Meta topic that was already posted and I thank @TylerAbeoJordan for already doing it
The original post was moderated based on offtopic matter (in form of a link) being posted in wrong area and ended up being moderated.
I will flag my own post here so that all the moderators/admins will be alerted and they can discuss (if needed) and moderate those posts.
The posts are only hidden, you should be able to click the “post hidden” message to see it. If you cannot then the feature must have been removed.
