Forgot to add: This is the second DOJ suit against Google. The first was filed in 2020 so the DOJ being on Google’s case is nothing new. Also, the GOOG stock price has been on downward arc for about a year. On Dec 1, 2021 it was selling for $145 and on Dec 1, 2022, just before the Pelosi trade, it was selling for $89. My guess is that the Pelosi’s weren’t the only ones ditching.
At around the same time as the GOOG sales the Pelosi’s also sold PYPL, RBLX, CRM, TSLA, V, and DIS, some of them apparently at a loss. Not unusual for year-end trading to include some trades at a profit and some at a loss to offset the gain from the others.
Not saying something nefarious didn’t take place, ya never know. But shouldn’t jump to conclusions with scarce evidence.

Growing up, I would often marvel at the smoke plumes ascending from a chimney and the water flows in the wake of a ship and assume that the underlying rules that describe them must be unfathomably complex. Later, as a student, I was struck by the deceptive simplicity of the Navier–Stokes equations, which — using only three terms codifying advection, pressure and diffusion — could describe waterfalls, waves around water droplets and turbulent smoke swirls.

Not a huge fan of Hoskinson, but I think he might be onto something with this idea of ‘veracity bonds’ and prediction markets to incentivize media outlets … not sure how you’d get any of them to adopt such a model though unless you own it, but perhaps if one starts using such a model it’s success would drive others to do the same.

In quantum news … this looks like it will be a huge for quantum computing if it can be scaled up (engineering challenge).

Good video. Just to point though, that the UN came into existence at the behest and with the funding of oligarchs (the Rockefeller’s). To think that it was taken over by oligarchs makes no sense. Perhaps new and different oligarchs replaced the old-guard, but there are always oligarchs in control.
State’s don’t serve the poor - they manage the poor for the current set of oligarchs.

It’s no longer a secret that big tech and governments as well perhaps people paid by big pharma are twisting facts & lying, harassing, and shadowbanning critics of the pharma and State policy - in many many nations.
It’s more than disturbing - it’s a war between the Machiavellian subset of oligarchs and the masses.
