Also DNS can wreak havoc upon a provider. Parler was removed from some DNS servers a day before Amazon pulled their servers

True! I suppose it is the global scale of the impact of this one that concerns me. Parler isn’t just blocked / cut off by one country, it has been deplatformed globally. This feels like a new front on the battle for censorship. Granted, the impact may be lower for those affected, but its reach is far.

This is all very weird and possibly of something very sinister. The USA feels like a tinder pot right now.
I wonder though how this all equates with the “let the market decide” point of view when market leaders ban free speech. It’s a serious point, @TylerAbeoJordan we recently looked a bit at these things. What’s your feeling here?
Apart from that the polarisation feels like it’s moving from ballot box debates to something none of us wants to see. There is a definite undertone of a fascist state wanting to be born somewhere big and I do think this happens fast, so fast we missed it so many times in the past. Will we catch it in time this time around? who knows, perhaps it’s only an irrational thought, but little seems to make sense in all this mess.

The data is currency.
The 5g and server based tech war between USA and China is on going. But they dont know the data can be truly decentralized with anonymity.
