So are they saying that Ethereum could be taken down? Wouldn’t that make ERC20 vulnerable?
The client with 20% market share (Parity) had a bug that caused those clients to lose sync with the network. So if you were using that client you’d have been out of operation until the patch arrived 14 hrs later. Or you could direct your wallet at a geth node (the other 80% of nodes) and be up and running.
When I first hear about Ethereum and that you could code contracts on it, I thought, that sounds like a bad idea.
Then Ethereum got hacked and then took of like a rocket. 
Yeah that twitter post is over-hyped fud if anything. 20% of clients, using a poorly implemented client had an issue today(that did get a fix). ETH is fine.
I know you should not judge a book by its cover, but I took one look at vitalik, and could not part with any money at the time of ico.
