It’s there to be tweaked during beta rollout. We just don’t have head space right now, but we soon will. It’s a matter of some magic numbers or magic functions, easy to change codewise, but needs a lot of lateral thinking.

Scotland Good stories are rigorously suppressed unless it is something twee like tourism.
I honestly doubt its worth putting any effort into at all.

I am sure FutureScot can get what they need to write further articles from the resources @Sotros25 is working on.
My point is, dont waste valuable resources on the Scotsman Daily Record or the Herald.

Hi Folks, I’ve created a first draft on updated press kits that are tailored to support the public testnet release. There are 3 versions in order to separately cater to technical, consumer, and crypto oriented-journalists. The main differences are that the crypto version goes into more detail on the token and the consumer version uses more accessible language to describe the testnet features.
Once the testnet launches, I’ll add links to “Access the testnet” and “Learn more”. Next steps would be to get these into the hands of journalists. I’ll compile a spreadsheet with recommended contacts based on my prior research as well as the suggestions that have been made on this thread as well.

typo? Accepting New Nodes Only When Resources Are Required: Allows
existing nodes now decide when they want new nodes to join the
network, which helps to prevent Sybil attacks because an unlimited
number of nodes cannot join the network at will.

A few pedantic consistency points:
Oxford comma - no right or wrong but should be used consistently: we aim to provide privacy, security**,** and freedom. Since most of the journos will be using US English (and you’ve used decentralized rather than the UK decentralised), I’d say use it. Some places where it’s not used:
- we aim to provide privacy, security and freedom
- e.g. tinkerers, PhDs & designers
- upgrade, improves security and sets the
Default pay once; store forever … Maybe ‘Default pay-once-store-forever’ is clearer?
Subhead A continuously evolving Network - use initial caps for consistency?
MaidSafe logo - link missing
when the Beta Safe Network launches - don’t need the fullstop (alternatively add a fullstop to the sentences that don’t have it)

Hi there, I was wondering if in “Data Ownership” it would get the message across more succinctly if we add “Data portability and interoperability by default” maybe at the end of the sentence to clarify it, as these are well established concepts it will help to frame it.
On the “does not run on blockchain” section I wonder if it would be cool to add another bullet point to point out that: It bypasses the “blockchain trilemma”: as it can scale infinitely, it offers ultimate security and it is truly distributed and decentralized (no supernodes, no masternodes, no servers), and it is anonymous.
And in “key milestones”, wouldn’t it be worth mentioning that David Irvine had a presentation about Maidsafe at Google TechTalks in 2008? (Seattle Conference on Scalability: maidsafe: A New Networki - YouTube)
Journalists with enough attention to detail would notice that it precedes the existence of Bitcoins…

I think this can be incorporated for the Technical & Crypto versions. For the consumer version, I’ll try to rework it a bit to call out that more distributed and decentralized means more fair and equitable.
