Update 24 March, 2022

Great update.

The format for these updates adopted some time back has really improved the sense of feeling informed one gets from following. Not too much detail on everything, but enough on different areas to feel briefed while getting a bit deeper dig on one topic.

Thx Maidsafe devs 4 another great update

Really love reading about the code trimming, mint sounds better
than spendbook (yet again another elegant solution).

Backpressure & message qing can’t wait to see this on a testnet
Hihi finally the ants can voice their opinions

Keep hacking super ants :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

if we are gonna deploy nodes to all devices available the speed and low impact should be really really high and low respectevly… we are in a bug hunting faze. how low and high we will get is only gonna be shown in time.

This could be quite difficult to answer at this stage. We have only just started with mesage optimisation and there are other aspects of the network that will receive attention in the next few months, before and after release. Different devices with different capabilities may perform diverse tasks. Not every device is suited to acting as a vault however I’m guessing a low-capacity, low CPU device with good bandwidth may well play a valuable role in section management, message caching and triage perhaps. And there will be all shades of grey in between.
Ask again in a few weeks/months.
