Update 15 December, 2022

Does the network allow all joins? Or is waiting for current nodes to get to a certain capacity?

It was like this with main too.
So it is fine most likely.

Yep, all nodes can join, for this test-net we’ve removed all restrictions on node joins.

My node joined.
But this time with small amount of chunks (11) and small amount of RAM usage (35 MB).

The network is not accepting nodes right now. Retrying after 30 seconds. Node log path: /root/.safe/node/local-node/

Idk but for me it worked when I move file to current directory, before that is give me error that file doesnt exist, and now if I try to move this file to desktop then nothing was happened (I thinked system finding this file, and I hit enter) now I see:

safe files put test2.txt

I’m not sure exactly how you’re trying to use safe, but if you do something like safe files put test2.txt that’s a relative file reference and it needs to be in your current directory. Otherwise you would need to specify the full, absolute path to the file. That’s not an issue that’s unique to safe. All programs behave that way.

Tried again to put the 37kB jpg, different error:

Glad it’s not just me… was begining to wonder that with the forced OS upgrade to get new libbin, I’d forgotten the ports perhaps for this… but then should not be for put and get.

I’m not having much luck here as well

Just want to add a caveat to how I voted in the poll. I am not currently able to join in the test nets for lack of an M1 chip Mac. I have a (recently) outdated Mac but hoping to change that soon!

Not suggesting outdated hardware needs supporting either as these older models genuinely become obsolete just from OS upgrades.

I hope to join in soon.

You still in that house of ill-repute in Baku?

The new testnet seems to have split, perhaps the reason why it’s not allowing more nodes to join:

Thats strange, I thought we were going for one big section?

Edit: I still see only one section

I got this too.

I am using a vpn, but also have a filewall on linux mint.

Taking it all down and trying again.

Anyone know what port I need to keep open?
