Autonomi currently operates with 2+ million nodes and ~80 PB of storage, achieved without centralized data centers.
Instead of concentrating energy in large facilities with heavy cooling and always-on infrastructure, Autonomi distributes storage and workload across existing, already-running devices worldwide. This avoids massive centralized power draw and significantly reduces infrastructure and cooling overhead.
While the theoretical total power of millions of nodes can look large on paper, the key difference is distribution vs concentration of energy usage.
In short: Autonomi scales storage and availability by reusing global hardware, rather than building energy-intensive data centers.
