My guess is that TechCrunch didn’t really want to enter this water, and it’s super odd that Adam added a ‘Bit Tip’ widget right in the middle of the article.

Sees the tip part is what pulled it down. The MT GOX thing turned out to be bitstamp. I wondered as we did not get 64000 BTC for sure.
