I spoke about my Sanitation MicroFarming ™️ system at the Nigerian Consulate in New York a few months ago. They were very enthused about it as well as the potential of digital currency and Safe Network to run it. It was the first time these high level African diplomates had ever heard a solid plan utilizing digital currency that they respected.
It took a little convincing with my wife but yes in our house it worked. No bugs can reach the butt in my design!
It sounds great n all.
Not meaning to be negative for no reason, but thinking from an investor’s angle.
What is to stop them just selling equipment or not paying anything towards it?
Policing it could be a logistical nightmare without hands on the ground with something to lose.
It’s a farming collective. That is hands on the ground. By definition the workings will be local with the types of incentives, procedures and logistics designed for local surroundings. It’s all designed to be voluntary and will work because it solves serious problems. Anyone who wishes to stop participating will be free to do so, which is just as any other farming collectives works, And I’d like to point out that this would not be an investment in the normal fashion. For Americans it would be a tax free donation to give these units to families that need them, along with Safe Network apps. We call this “Giftprenuering.” The families would then donate part of the profit from the products they produce Back to the those who made it possible to solve their sanitation, poverty and food security issues. And since the Khepera coin that gets donated to Giftprenuers comes from foreign people (local D-Latrine users) it would be a tax free gift event - no matter how much they get back. Here is an example of this gift giving format where South East Asian coffee growers receive tax deductible donations to grow their product and then give often significant amounts of coffee back to thier donors as gifts: K'Hollective - Filanthrope
There are very successful cases where this farming collective/gifting format is working. But there are weak spots in terms of communication, privacy and documentation. Safe Network would get rid of weak spots.
Awesome, feel free to send one over my way, i’d be happy to test the system and provide feedback if you need, my wife and kids are right into all this sort of stuff at the moment
Greeting fellow Safers! It has been a while! A lot has gone on in our endeavors to combine decentralized tech and the new industry of Sanitation Microfarming. Some things we can’t talk about just yet, other things we can reveal. One of those reveals is that we are working on rolling out a pilot program in Ethiopia! Check out some info graphics to get the lowdown:
You need to add the graphics I think Greig. Great to see progress, more power to you and all good people.
I am intrigued by these BSF biopods and the process in general but I think you’re overselling it when comparing it to composting or vermi-culture. Black soil can be far more valuable than a fish meal substitute, which is what you compared the fly pupae to. And when you consider that plants can help offset CO2 in their own right then encouraging people to compost and grow gardens makes a certain amount of sense. So yes having the biopods makes sense, especially with so many people living in appartments but having a functional composting system is important too. Not everything is about being hyper focused on CO2 prevention efficiency. Sometimes you need to think about it in terms of the long game. Also I think i these biopods are really to take off they need more applications for the little fly corpses. It needs to be more practical than just pushing carbon capture numbers. People don’t compost in order to virtue signal. They compost to get good soil and grow their plants; there is a distinct practical application to one’s own benefit to composting and vermiculture.
This all being said I totally agree with the concept of using lower life forms and a permaculture approach to help deal with waste. Also when are we going to get hoards of those plastic eating moth larvae going?
Thanks for the comments friend. You are correct that top level black soil is a hot commodity! We have since evaluated the product line and found some other, astonishingly valuable products that will be generated. Check the economics infographic above. And please spread the word because we plan to give Safecoin a solid underpinning of value based on trading these products and attending the Khepera Sanitation Microfarming tm infrastructure!
Alright Safe Netizens! It has been two years since we informed you guys about our progress. We have so much to share and Safe Network will be stitched into the foundation:
Hello all! It has been a while since I reached out to let you all know where we are. There are some exciting things in the works which put Safe Network at the foundation of an entirely new world wide industry! I have spoken with David Irvine since I last posted, but even he doesn’t know about the latest innovations, which include our patent pending status, connections to the United Nations and the in enlisting of real Hollywood stars. We have a great Multimedia White paper that explains it all.
So here it is: KHEPERA BBDAO MULTIMEDIA WHITEPAPER - YouTube
