Hi guys! Unfortunately I couldn’t watch the conference live, so I’m going to do it today.

Btw it sounds amazing! Happy that everyone was enthusiast to be there.
I hope to attend a devcon one day!

What a great event! Thanks to all those who organised, attended and took part. It was great to put handles, to avatars, to names, to faces!

Humble, determined and resolute summarises it for me. It feels like we are about to enter into the next chapter of SAFENetwork and any obstacle to this will be wrestled to the ground.

It feels right that this project started where it did and the devcon felt in step with the project ethos. It isn’t about glitz, glamour, hype or money. It is about doing something that the world needs and doing it right. Respect due!

So true. Devcon 2018 was a spectacular and surreal experience. Many thanks to team MaidSafe for hosting such a wonderful event and providing us all with the opportunity to meet offline, get to know one another, and learn. I don’t know where to begin in trying to translate the information I’ve absorbed into forum posts. Still processing… it’s hard to contain one’s exuberance.

To summarize though, Everyone I met was downright brilliant, witty, deep thinking, and/or rather sharp. It felt like we had enough brainpower in the room to solve cold fusion or <enter any random global challenge here> if only given a couple extra days of combined efforts and the right amount of resources. I suppose SAFE itself is enough of a grand challenge for MaidSafe & Friends in the short term. The vision, leadership, and inclusiveness offered by dirvine, nlambert and the rest of the MaidSafe team are instrumental/monumental in allowing for such a diverse group of people to come together from all over the world to offer their support.

p.s. I’ll be in Ayrshire for for a couple extra days, anyone still in the area should send a D.M if they want to meet up for some safe conversation, brainstorms, or collaboration.
Cheers!

Thank you Maidsafe for organising such a great event!
Very inspiring. Look forward to joining the next time.

Back in The Netherlands now.

Here is a picture of a tulip field taken as we were just coming in to land.

Edit:. This hoodie is sooooo comfortable. I’m going to wear it everywhere.

I have to agree that it was a fantastic event.

MaidSafe is doing a cracking job, and have been heroic in their push forward. They’ll be out of the research & development woods with a clear view ahead soon I’m sure!

Meeting community members was brilliant - a group of very capable, and very likeable people

Very much looking forward to seeing what comes from the whole community (including MaidSafe staff) in the coming months & years.

Well done to everyone involved & everyone who traveled from far and wide to attend… looking forward to the next one

Great to hear we are close to being able to provide roadmap timescales. At that point I think we will see a massive upswing in interest. Good work team.

Looked like a great 1st conference. Plenty of content and a chance for delegates to “network” and encourage each other and those around them.

Also I am sure the Maidsafe team got a great boost from seeing the delegates and their responses.

Great work guys (== gals & blokes) and a special shout out to Dug and Sarah for a job well done. Thanks for the live stream

Just added clickable time stamps for each speaker in the Youtube comments. Should help you navigate through the archive in your own time.

That tulip field would have bought a few Lambos in the 1630’s

David, could you or @SarahPentland put the word ‘Maidsafe’ somewhere in the description of these videos? I also mentioned it somewhere in the comments of the latest dev update
If you search in Youtube on ‘Maidsafe’ you won’t find these video’s. Same story for the new safecoin video.
You can check it with this link:

Would be nice to see all those video’s appear on top, so you get the impression that this project is really alive! Every little bit helps :slightly_smiling_face:
