RFC 0061 — Safe Network Token Distribution

Just gonna throw this into the ocean:

People don’t like the idea of giving “the reserve” to Maid token holders as they fear they would be dumped onto the market and cause price fluctuations.

That reasoning is dubious at the start, but regardless, there may be a solution here …

Encrypt reserve DBC’s with a weak encryption layer. Then before they can be spent onto the network, their individual encryption wrappers have to be hacked open (proof of work).

This eliminates the concern of dumping and encryption method can even vary in difficulty in order to make some harder to crack than others, thus limiting the production over time.

It also eliminates the honeypot threat of network holding large amounts of tokens.
