Quick Update on ERC20 MAID

So you don’t earn by providing liquidity?

You definitely do. That’s why people provide their funds on AMM DEXes. For yield.

I personally think impermanent loss is very overblown, and mathematically insignificant most of the time, in my experience at least.

From my (limited) understanding, it only happens when there are huge leveraged swings (10-30%) within a super short period of time, and is still not a huge amount of loss regardless. Also should rebalance itself overtime afterwards, as long as you don’t panic pull all funds out during that adjustment time.

I’m not an expert, just been in the space for a while

For anyswap, for example, they’re all available, but might need a few extra clicks, if you had BEP-20 Maid for example but wanted AVAX-C Maid, and on and on.

Can you suggest a good tutorial on how to get started with pulse or pulsex? Words of wisdom?

As a liquidity provider, do you have to supply an equal dollar amount of ETH, etc for the pair? Or can you provide just one side of the liquidity?

Yes, for Pulse look here:

PulseChain TestNet Links

For PulseX just try the Test UniSwap from the link above, PulseX is just a UniSwap v2 copy with better tokenomics (in my opinion of course!).

If you use version 3 of UniSwap you can put only MAID. I personally will put a MAID / USDC pair, because I think it will be better for the project (of course you will risks twice as much capital, but I think we all here believe in MaidSafe enough to take that risk)

so pulse is a testnet? or you suggest to familiriaze first with said testnet?

Yes, Pulse is still in the test period. It seems that when you make real improvements to the code, things don’t happen quickly, even for a copy. It is planned to have about 2 more months of testing.

Have they already copied the ETH chain, ir will that be done at launch?

There is a test copy from 2 months ago. No date has been announced for the blockchain snapshot for the main net.

Looking forward to this, now I no longer have Bittrex :frowning:

It depends on how many transactions there are for the coin/s that you provide liquidity for. As a liquidity provider you receive a portion of the transaction fees.

I think we were expecting to hear something within the first quarter of 2022.

The smart contract is live. There is a planned pilot test in early Feb, which serves as a sort of “soft launch”. Things are still on target for a full launch in Q1.

The sooner the better, trex have lost the plot, withdrew all funds today after them asking for things they know are impossible to provide.
How can a screenshot ever show 2 menus open at once, idiots.

Thanks for the update sounds great.

Yeah, I was asked for an excessive amount of information from Bittrex, every time I gave them something they would ask for more, I eventually just gave up.
