Hi Everyone. I’m looking to start uploading interesting public domain “stuff” to the main net. Mostly to seed the initial Colony pods with useful content to search for, but also to make sure the upload/download logic is working properly before I release it to everyone here. Alpha and local aren’t enough, I need main network interactions at this point.
Obviously, I can’t do a bunch of copyrighted content, but there is enough interesting public domain content available that I’ll run out of money long before I put a dent in it
So I’m thinking first do a bunch of public domain banned books. There are some conspiracy related documentaries that are also copyleft that I plan to upload as well. I figure I’ll spend a few hundred $ in the end, but don’t want to waste my time/money on stuff that isn’t thought provoking or easy to find on the clear net.
I believe Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and these guys could be uploaded as well… And generally, what about just starting from history? Plato, Seneca, Socrates, Pythagoras, The Bible, Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharat, Ramayan, Epic of Gilgamesh… I will join these upload efforts once the app is a nice GUI type of app and easier to use
I’ll just point out, for those who rush to do this… The music is public domain, but PERFORMANCES/RECORDINGS are generally not public domain. Make sure you find a public domain production before uploading.

Colony is almost there. My frontend guy is ironing out the interface for the pod management stuff, but everything else is in place. I’ll be testing it over the next week or so to make sure the user experience is good enough and then I’ll post the binaries for people to play with. We’re very close!!
Two personal development books, read them a long time ago , would like to read them again, they are not really about money, i remember being shocked by Wattless but the older i get the more i agree with his philosophy. The other link is the classic Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill . There are probably apps that could be made out of these books and tons of other public domain stuff.
