I should say I did this tweet and took the info from what Francis mentioned in his dev update post. Nothing to speculate about. I used the word “phase” to be intentionally open ended and doesn’t mean final test net.
If it didn’t meant to say last test, then what is a phase in this context?
Unsolicited advice: With trolls, speculators and especially the strong believers in mind I think it’s important to choose the words very carefully.
Test phase coming to an end It should be all going well very soon be coming to an end. We will all see that though. It feels to us the tests have done their job and taken us a long way forward now. Their job is almost over though, lets see though, we don’t want to count chickens before the hatch.
Perhaps its the particular aspect they’re working on? For instance, would this phase be data persistence @frabrunelle?
I know, here’s the part in the Dev-Update:
We’re indeed going into the final phase and that’s why I posted my view on how we might go from here. So the speculation is in my view so to say . As this is the Pre-Dev I thought it would be more fun to post about it this way full of smileys instead of a serious conversation about the future of the project.
The ants are coming
It’s from my experience that the individuals you mention will always misinterpret at least a little via over-analysing so it’s not worth added stress over a tweet.
Woha chunk store limit 2GB and PUT limit to 500!!!
I think this will stress the network a bit more then the previous testnets . Will see Testnet 6 today i think…
.
Thats a huge jump. Great show of confidence by the team.
It means it can be properly tested, by having the shit kicked out of it, compared to the pussified destructiveness of Testnet5.
Oooooh I think they’re asking for video and audio testing and some serious usage.
Now that PUT limits have increased… perhaps we can try a (Viral Video Simulation), proposed by @Seneca below.
I think this will be very interesting.
I already made an index.html and when you open it you’ll see this in your browser:
It’s the HTML 5 videoplayer with a 53MB mp4 video by Maidsafe. Hope I’ll be able to upload this one. If it works we can have a countdown and rock that caching mechanism
wuhuuuuu let’s watch videos via safenet!!!
AWESOME stuff!
