Since much of the community is online in the lead-up to the weekly dev updates, would anyone be willing to chair/host Safe Chats on Thursday’s during that time? This was a great suggestion from @feinberg, and it could be an effective way to increase engagement.

Looks like the register data type might make it into the next test.

I suspect there will be intensive in house work and a lunch at the traditional time tomorrow afternoon.

PS Its a little known tradition in Ayrshire to eat your lunch around 4:30 on Thursday afternoons

Today or not, I think it would be ideal to have a pace of one testnet on every Wednesday as long as necessary. If it crashes, there would still be Thursday to gather ideas and impressions when they are fresh and start implementing fixes next Monday.

This would also allow community members to plan their participation. I was already starting to feel some test fatigue last week, while waiting the release, jumping in for testing, learning to use the terminal, wondering what’s going on… and staying up too late into night because of the excitement!

I think others may have better stamina in this respect, but still, steady predictable rhythm would let us build all kinds of moves on top of it. You know, like this:

I don’t expect T4 for at least another week because they had an extra day of rest and were probably still tired after that, plus are aiming to write more code to support Anti-Entropy rather than track down and fix a few bugs.

It’s very hard to maintain the full on pace of the preceding weeks and my sense is that T3 achieved enough for them to feel ok about having a more relaxed run up to T4.

Trying to maintain the same pace may well slow things down as people make mistakes or a can’t function at all.

[maidsafe/sn_node] feat(data_section): track responsiveness of Adults to data requests so that they can be voted off if necessary (#1433)

Some fine-tuning going on here!

Yes they should be more relaxed. I dont expect T4 this week.

Development have a lot of randomness in it.
So I think it is more efficient to release updates when they are ready.

Github is going spaz with activity today though.
I’m not ruling a test out for this week, yet

Could this be the fix to data loss?

It’s a partial fix, still not got all out consistency rules in there yet, but we are not waiting  Lots to try out. Exciting times this, really really good.

If so, brilliant as I have two Odroids ready to add to the farm!
