As I understand and agree with you, anyway it is nice to keep the old tradition. It is much easier to follow the project if you are not daily checking every topic to check one every week or two. So if there could be just summary of what was already written in Updates from MaidSafe HQ and do not spend much more time on it it would be great.
Also the community can share on Twitter or Reddit to feed it with something new.
