Poloniex Delisting MAID - December 30 - MUST Withdraw by January 30

They have not corresponded with us or replied to any mail I have sent them. They never even warned the maidsafe team this was going to happen. We heard it from the community who had maid on the exchange.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much and just be on your way. Chainrift looks to be a far more promising experience than polo ever was. You might want to investigate that option to see if it works for you and your jurisdiction. MAID Volume is going up on that exchange.

That’s genuinely appalling and highly unprofessional of them. I don’t think it inspires people to trust them to look after their coins.

The owner cancelled a breakfast with Buffett after bidding over $4 million. Great at PR

Yeah, they’ve continued to avoid my questions about this delisting. I’ve requested to close my account because of this reason. They probably won’t shed a tear because of it, but I feel very uncomfortable supporting an exchange that delist a coin like this.

I feel many closed their account on Polo so did I.

Yes, come to think of it, I will too.

Poloniex will go down in history known as the exchange that kicked out the Internet (Next Gen).
They will eventually migrate on to the SAFENetwork - what LOLs.

Polo has always been a troublesome exchange in my opinion, think back to the days when Tristan owned it. I remember having to sit on the phone for days trying to recover funds and support tickets were something like 3 months or more in backlog.
There was slight hope that Circle would bring it back to life but they threw the towel in too.
I have little faith in it and have not used it in years.

Will be like Decca choosing the Tremeloes over the Beatles or Western Union failing to sign up Alexander Graham Bell.

Regarding poloniex withdrawals

Current poloniex wallet balance is 34,533,986 MAID

It’s been 22.7 days since the first post of 60,637,406 MAID in their wallet which gives an average withdraw rate of 1,149,930 coins per day.

There’s 17.8 days remaining until the deadline for all withdraws. This means the remaining coins must be withdrawn at a rate of 1,944,360 per day (almost double the current withdraw rate).

If the current rate of 1.15M coins per day is retained, there will be 14,109,944 coins left in the poloniex hotwallet at the withdraw deadline.

Do you have figures from the 1st Jan? Be nice to have a rate from 1st Jan

The closest is this post which says 47,093,609 MAID in the poloniex address on 30th Dec.

So in the approx 14 days since then there’s been 12,559,623 coins withdrawn at a rate of approx 0.9M per day.

There was a rush to withdraw when the announcement was made, and the withdraw rate has been steadily getting slower ever since.

I think he should donate it to Maidsafe, atleast it would give him some dignity.
