I recall seeing a 60 minutes episode, where a German cyber security agent hacked into an Australian Federal politician’s phone conversation as he was speaking. Every politician in the world will scramble to SAFE assuming voice and text is covered

I think will find that politicians rail against it publicly, while privately using it–once it proves itself, anyway.

That is the situation in Australia, they want to break end-to-end encryption by getting the big companies (google/apple/etc) to be able to intercept the messages decoded.
BUT the current Prime Minister uses Wickr to communicate with his ministers. Mind you wickr has not been mentioned for “assisting police to intercept end-to-end encrypted communications”
