Put spawns a non numeric version?.. which I don’t think we’ve seen before.

I think this is because the system now allows forks, so the string at the end is a hash

So 2 or more values with the same “parent” creates a fork. IIRC 1 or more values (otherwise it’s a register). These are indexed as the register is (it is a load of registers), so using hash values and parents. So no index as such, you need to traverse start to finish/find (0n) @Anselme or @bochaco know more though.
