MaidSafeCoin is now available on the Ethereum blockchain, thanks to eMAID

Can anyone recommend a wallet i could use for conversion please.
Im familiar with the omni side of things.
Just looking for a wallet so i can keep my pvt key offline until i want to move the coins.

Is it correct i need to use metamask to use the coin with uniswap or is there another wallet that will work well

For Omni, its a paper wallet, and use an app to do the signing with the private key

I seem to remember (and done it AFAIK) that eth can also have paper wallets

Ive just used a encrypted wallet not connected to internet.

And would like to to the same if possible.

If you want to generate a cold wallet, you can use MetaMask on a computer without internet to generate an address and 12 seed words, if you then want to make transactions, however, there is no way to keep it cold, so the best combination is a hardware wallet and metamask.

The wallet is generated on the hardware wallet and connected with metamask. All transactions are sent by metamask to sign in the hardware wallet.

Would you be able to detail the app and possibly process you are using to do this ? I recall that, many years ago, the strategy when transferring MAID from one omni address to an exchange, was 1. to transfer the amount desired to the exchange, and 2. to transfer all the remaining amount in the omni address to a new omni address. Since the private key was uploaded on internet to do the transfer, this was done to prevent anyone catching it to use it to steal coins.

But if there is now a way to avoid these cumbersome steps that would be great to hear how!
Thank you,

When I asked, I was told there are a few apps to use the private key to do the signing on your computer. No need to move the OMNI MAID.

The process for sending MAID to exchange you mentioned would still be a wise way to do it if there was a trusted exchange to send them to.

There has been a process for the exchange OMNI MAID to network token written (still to be tested on public testnet) where all that is needed is to sign a message with your private key. This is what I was referring to.

It is very easy to do with Trezor/Ledger/Electrum:

Thank you and @neo for your replies. Trezor seems to support Omni so that could work!

I specify that the signature is not related to OMNI, so any software supporting bitcoin signatures will work.

MaidSafe will take a snapshot of all bitcoin addresses holding MAID and a signature from such an address will be used to obtain the autonomi tokens, the OMNI protocol will not be used at all in this final process.
