It’s on hold for the moment. The code bounty program is really useful, but requires us to be working in a more planned and clearly defined way than we are at present. When we ran the program previously we were working in development sprints with each of the planned and defined tasks entered into Jira and publicly available. We will go back to the bounty program, just not quite sure when.
No, not at all. We’re just at a different stage of the development cycle. At the moment we are more reactive that planned in that we have the design and implementation in place to reach test 15/alpha 2, and are just making the necessary last minute fixes as we continually test the network.
any bounties available at present? I see plenty of issues in github. What if I were to knock out a few issues in safe-cli for example – could those be eligible for some bounty love, once a pull request is accepted?
At this time the devs are too busy writing code to review other folks contributions.
Thats not a criticism, its just the plain truth as far as I can see.
I’d love to contribute more but anything I could add would take time away from them getting on with what they know intimately while I can merely make best guesses.
A broad sweeping statement that is broadly true. Perhaps other more advanced programmers can contribute code that would need less dev intervention to be immediately useful.
