MAID Relisted on ChainRift (Exchange Shutting Down)

What?! 2 weeks?! Seriously? In what world is that a reasonable amount of time before the alternative is true (coins are not withdrawable and therefore confiscated, presumably)?

I understand businesses need to pivot, but it has been a big time sink to those who courageously stepped up to make it happen. What really disappoints me though is the ridiculously short deadline. My respect and trust for those who run the exchange has evaporated, sadly.

I would advice to everyone to make an evidence of your trading history, deposit, withdrawal, support tickets … and check the withdrawal option regularly.

It really smell bad to me.

I hope that we can get their real names.

I’m well under the limit on my account, and have been able to withdraw without uploading ID before…

But now I cannot withdraw.

Wha? Why now?

Bitfinex are one of the few exchanges to list Omni coin and also support the development of Omni core viaTether. If any exchange is interested in listing an old OMNI coin like MaidSafeCoin it would be Bitfinex. Not as robust a solution as going ERC20 and Uniswap though…

That was surprising to me, as it is listed as having a company headquarters in Newcastle, Wyoming (cowboy country in USA)

The Wyoming connection is meaningless, though. There is apparently an attorney in Cheyenne, WY, a Richard C Slater, who registers companies at the Newcastle Wyoming address. He’s registered lots of companies at that address.

I hope everybody gets their coins back.

I got a message saying my withdrawal was approved. We’ll see it if it ever confirms. Another exchange bites the dust, and MAID is left at the alter again. I don’t know how the token can survive at this rate. As someone from the US, I no longer have any reliable options to buy MAID, once again, which is sad, and the inability to infuse US money into any of the exchanges to purchase MAID will drive down the demand and price.

Edit: I did receive my withdrawal within about 15 minutes, as well. At least I got my coins.

To be fair, it took <15 mins for mine to transfer over to Bittrex

Ok… at least I got a quick response.

Thank you Chainrift. Really appreciate the speedy email response in this time of uncertainty.
Apparently I had some sort of account validation issue, which is odd… but it’s fixed now.

I’ve been able to submit my withdrawal request.

I wish things worked out differently at that exchange.

Boy… keeping coins on an exchange is tricky.
