I uploaded the file again today…
Check out the Impossible Futures!
I only see you mentioned that got d858 re-uploaded.
Did you also got f7fa re-uploaded as well ? or it recovered by itself without you did anything ?
Sorry I didn’t express myself clearly. Both files were downloading successfully on the date I uploaded them. Today I tested downloading them and there was a problem with both. I uploaded d858 again and it is now downloading successfully, I haven’t uploaded the other one again and the last time I tested it it wasn’t downloading.

For me the other (starting f7fa) was not downloading earlier today, but was working about half an hour ago.
Just an idea: Could it be, that the “missing” chunks might have all the replicas in nodes, that uses relay, and are not very well reachable? But sometimes they are, or they leave the network and their replica is then placed elsewhere?
do we have a data loss? ![]()
Not sure possibly data unavailability as @Dimitar said his file started downloading again.
And the two files I uploaded that were missing chunks I never 100% verified they were downloadable.
So nothing concrete regarding any data loss
Can you upload and test another large >2Gb fileplease?
Once you have confirmed you can retrieve it OK then several of us should validate that.
Im a bit preoccupied right now waiting on the RAC to rezcue me.
Hopefully home in an hour or two to continue digging
Also can others confirm that data lossor not, the network is generally dead slow?
Or is it just me?
here is one of the first large ISO’s i got up about 6 months ago and it downloads fine
It was when I uploaded my latest and greatest meme yet.
I still can’t download the f7fa file with Dave 3.0, I tried it on another computer too. Can you confirm that you are downloading the file directly from the network, and not from the antnest where it is cached?
Yes, after I re-uploaded it. The other file that I didn’t upload is still not downloading…
Check out the Impossible Futures!
No. It failed from Antsnest and then later succeed from there.
I Just downloaded over 30GB of files uploaded more than 3 months ago and every single file downloads just fine first time. so I am guessing anything that’s up that has caused chunks to be missing is something to do with client side uploading from latest releases.

But how do you explain that initially my files were downloading? I tested them both locally and via antnest when I uploaded them?
Check out the Impossible Futures!
im not entirely sure on that front and would love to hear something from the team. one thought could be this paying one node for the upload if the node was reset or went offline before the chunk had propagated to other nodes ?
anyone who wants to help verify a 40Gb upload they can help by downloading this file.

OK thats kicked off here. Im away out for the afternoon, report back later
@Shu you asked for larger files earlier, check above, 40GB
Nice! I’m having a go at downloading via a local AntTP too for giggles! ![]()
EDIT: First try, I got this after 13.3 GB:
[2025-10-28T14:37:30.510Z ERROR anttp::client::chunk_caching_client] Failed to retrieve chunk for [b3d62113704f192087f67bcd3371fed64b92443e975d8c8697737dfede2b50f6] from network RecordNotFound
[2025-10-28T14:37:30.515Z ERROR chunk_streamer::chunk_sender] error in stream.get_range: [Generic error(Record could not be found.)]
I’ve updated my AntTP disk cache from 10gb to 40gb to give it a few retries for the missing chunk more easily.
I’ll give the ant CLI a go after too, but thought it would be an interesting contrast.
