If this solution is so good, why hasn’t an Apple, Amazon, Google etc etc or even some Software developers…. Bought into this?
Is it because Maidsafe hasn’t been able to speak to these companies, or these companies are not interested, or do they think it’s not a viable solution?
The buzz which is on this site, you would think that major companies would be interested.

I don’t think those companies would want things the way our network will make.
They wouldn’t be allowed to “buy into” SN. David has rejected offers from VCs because when you take funding of that sort you lose control and it would risk the project moving from fundamentals.
Whether those companies would want Safe Network to succeed is pretty unlikely, given it is literally aiming to move power away from them to individuals so it also makes no sense to let them buy in.
You can ask the same question of every new tech, until at least some are bought out.
For us, we present significant issues for current business models. So a purchase would likely be buy to kill and we have investors and society to stick up for. We won’t let those people down.
Certainly no one has invested trillions of dollars in the Internet so that the average person can maintain the privacy, security and freedom we know from the pre-Internet era.
MaidSafe calls SafeNet the new Internet, and not without reason, because it will be a new network protocol, completely decentralised, serverless, i.e. DAO. Such a network will be censorship-proof, immune to quantum computer attacks and, once launched, unstoppable, meaning that the rise of SN is not in the interests of technology corporations and will become a challenge to them.
History is filled with amazing technology that was purchased to be killed for the gain of a few over service to many. So true.
what is VCs? VentureCapitals?
