Where can I buy Maidsafe as a US citizen? Hitbtc wouldn’t allow me to use their exchange

Hey friend,

you can try with https://coinswitch.co/. Other people in the forum have used it successfully :dragon:

Nope. Unfortunately, Yanks can not. EDIT: Or at least they couldn’t last time we talked about it.

I just read the following post by Trezor about their new Suite.

From the article:
ā€œAt the moment, the Trezor Model T supports over 1600 coins and tokens. While we are open to adding more, we will only do so for projects that have proven their legitimacy and which can give evidence of active development and an engaged community.ā€

It might be worth it to contact Trezor and ask them about Omni and Maid.

Edit: They are sort of supported already. There just is no wallet yet.

You know there’s a wallet for Trezor One, right? https://www.omnitrezor.com/

That project seems to have been abandoned almost a year ago.

Trezor also, on the coins page I posted, now says there is no wallet.

It doesn’t matter, it works with the older Trezor One firmware versions ( 1.8.0-1.9.0) . Just don’t update so you don’t have to downgrade afterwards - Firmware downgrade - Trezor Wiki

And to get the Omnitrezor Maids moving with the Trezor Model T ?? How can it be done? Do they get blocked ??

How much would it cost to have someone update Omnitrezor? I’d donate $100 to help see this updated and audited. I sure it would cost more to pay someone but I think we could raise the money. It would be nice to see support for MAID on hardware wallets.

I use Chrome, but it doesn’t work. I don’t know what can be done to get those Maidsafecoin coins back … The truth that i’m worried

No need to worry as long as you have your mnemonic (seed phrase). Worst case you can get the private key for that address and import it into another wallet like Omni Core.

Your Trezor must be with firmware 1.8-1.9 and just download and use firefox. It works. There is no need to pay someone to fix it. It works.

@Luis_Gonzalez_Alvare, @Knosis for your peace of mind, I made 1 transaction from my Trezor One (firmware version 1.9.0) with Firefox - I confirm once again that it works:

The option of Trezor model T, I find it difficult … to go back to a previous firmware … Does anyone know if through Electrum, I could have access to the Maidsafe ??

There’s an Electrum Omni plugin, but not sure of it’s state

Also, in the forthcoming version of Omniwallet.org, users in the United States will no longer be able to use Omniwallet.org to interact with the on-chain Distributed Exchanges available on the Omni Layer protocol on the Bitcoin blockchain.
