[How To]: Buy/Move/Store OMNI MAID :safe: hardware and software wallets

Thank you all for your responses! I now have then in a paper wallet.

So if I don’t convert to emaid, the only thing I can do now is wait and exchange 1:1 for SNT? After converted to SNT, how do I trade/sell going forward if need be?

Thanks guys

Yes, or trade on hitbtc. ( harsh withdrawal fee ).

Snt will exist on safe net, as it doesnt exist yet we have no exchanges.

Normal exchanges will hopefully list us after launch, at which point you will be free to trade.
Or community will arrange dex etc.

There is an open source decentralised exchange, which is also the only decentralised exchange to support scriptless scripts and most of the major privacy coins. It’s in its early days, having launched mid last year, but its growing and could easily support MaidSafe trading:

It’s very simple to install and a doddle to use. Further more any community can add their coin to the exchange if they want to code something up, which I gather is not a lot of work.

Could someone from the community code something up? They have a support channel on element too: https://matrix.to/#/#basicswap:matrix.org

Has anyone successfully sent MAID from Trezor recently?
I am getting errors,

On the Trezor itself:

  • Wrong address path for selected coin. Continue at your own risk.

From Trezor Connect:

  • Input does not match scriptPubKey

And you had neither of the above errors?

No all was normal with no errors using the Omni trezor website with the updated link you posted a few weeks ago

The main site has been updated now but neither works for me to send. Mmm

DM me a receiving address for your Trezor and I will try to send some later.
Busy right now with OtherStuff

All looks straightforward from this end - sending fee 0.0001BTC ~ $4.5 ~ £3.50

Confirmation ETA in approx. 2 hours 21 mins (13 blocks)

Damn. I can view and receive, address starts with 1. Tried 3 different browsers, software is up date. Sufficient btc balance.

I am fresh out of ideas.

What is the actual error message?

Fitst the trezor itself says:
Wrong address path for selected coin. Continue at your own risk

Then if I accept that risk and proceed I can continue through all the typical simple send ops but the send fails with:

Input does not match scriptPubKey

Never seen that one before.
How many actual BTC wallets do you have on the Trezor?

Usually when I see “Continue at your own risk”, I don’t continue.

EDIT:

Reddit - Dive into anything is the only hit I can find.
@Mav is your man for derivation paths which I do not pretend to understand.

2 btc addresses. But the one in question is a legacy address starting with 1.

Mine appears to work OK with a segwit address beginning with 3.

You def got >8k sats in the legacy address?

yes way more 0.00051362

@Southside when you view your balance on omni trezor do you see a bitcoin balance in the screenshot down here  I don’t but on chain I do.

Check your balance - that Tx is confirmed now.
