Error no error - Does the network send a response when the endpoint does not exist?

There’s a problem with client side knowing they have connection to the network.

I wonder it’s a bit like proving a negative, if the network is not responding that it is not finding the requested endpoint, to confirm that state, the client is stuck unsure if the network not responding because the broadband provider sucks(x3).

So, just now again and again having poor connection for other unSAFE browsing, I see this below from the CLI… sometimes getting the expected and more often a message from CLI that suggests ContentNotFound.

Problem is, I don’t know how to test for it.

Does the network send a response when the endpoint does not exist?
My impression is that the network is not sending a response and then this is not about the network being confused about what exists but more simply uncertainty at the client side.

I’d noted this already as https://github.com/maidsafe/safe-api/issues/543 but perhaps needs expanding or some clarity brought from others.

If someone with a good broadband does the same repeat and always gets success, then that would be a good indicator of difference.

I think this is just related to current state of baby fleming, it seems that your site’s files container was not stored in all vaults and therefore when trying to fetch it you’ll get success if hitting the vault which did stored it.

This is a solvable issue and especially so when we move towards proper quorum/crdt types.
