I think the business meeting is 100% required
That would all take time which costs money.
Were trying to get the network lauched . That is the highest prioroty!
As ive said, get involved with testnets if you want a demo.
Ive got to get to bed, enjoy your day.
That is done via this very forum, that doesnt distract the devs in worktime.
Well the community has paid the money so monthly face to face comms is not a big ask of the business.
This approach would bring launch time âcloserâ and I think thatâs what everyone wants!
There is an overwhelming sense of entitlement in these expectations.
Seems to me that you are suffering some bear market blues and want the devs to cheer you up.
Just about everyone has told you that your expectations are unreasonable, now verging on trolling.
The community does not pay them. Yes some bought coins/tokens and they benefited.
Now demos take time to prepare (Real demos take days)
Meetings take time to prepare (preparation of what to say takes real time)
We are not shareholders (except a few)
I am not sure what more you expect to gain than what we get from the weekly updates
Community members already demo for themselves the progress
You paid for the right to change 1 mscoin for 1 snt, no more,
Its a huge ask!
Well mostly the opinion is opposite i think, thats just your opinion.
You are poping up in this forum expecting things displayed for you in your desired format and the dev team to wast time on trying to map unexplored terrain.
If you want to see results please join us when we have the next comnet as @anon26713768 kindly initiates and what better demo can yo ask for than actual real live proof that the safe network is more than just vapour ware
Iâve worked on R&D programming/electronic/communication projects (tight teams) in decades past and what is being asked is a nightmare for progress and guaranteed to slow things down to a crawl for a tight team.
And as we are a pretty tight community but newbies are always welcome if you want to join comnet we will all do our best to get you online everyone is welcome.
No thanks, if Southside and above comments are typical community member interactions the game and project is toast
Sell up and move on then ![]()
No that is not the case AT ALL
What seems to be tthe case is that is what you want to believe simply because your preferred tool is not being used.
Qn Can we please get an accurate roadmap to launch?
Answers on a postcard please
Ans No
Oh dear -seems like your toys are landing some considerable distance outside the pramâŚ
Im not everyoneâs cup of tea, Im not here to be that. I am here to help with the testing and encourage others to do so as well. I hope some of my scripts help someone from time to time.
I react badly to newbies turning up out of nowhere and thinking that the spiffy new management tools they just learned about in class is NOT preferred - for very good real world reasons.
Answering JIRA and using words like âstakeholdersâ may have got you an A or B in your exams but this is the real world.
And in the real world trolls occasionally get tellt to GTF.
So you have a choice, carry on moaning in the wilderness untill you eventually try the patience of the mods
OR
look for post from @anon26713768 @SmoothOperatorGR @folaht or even perhaps me announcing a testnet you can join. Show ANY enthusiasm and you will be very warmly welcomed.
BUT
Keep whining and you will eventually sell your (e)MAID for considerably less than its eventual value.
@MaidMarion seems some might need more reassurance which is completely understandable if you see price swing. However the impact of your own reinsurance does not benefit the project in its development and certain agile methods have already been tried without much additional gain. You probably get more out of it if you follow weekly update and actively discuss what you donât understand or what certain github updates mean. To describe every moving part is just wasting so much unnecessary time for maidsafe which already give you a comprehensive summary each week.
Thank you for you kind words SouthShite, Iâm not intending to be too pessimistic but an updated roadmap with some additional markers would be good to have. How far away is an âalways-onâ testnet
Dunno.
What I do know is that if a small fraction of those who pop up here from time to time berating the project for this or the lack of that were to actively join in the testnets, it would be a lot sooner.
This clearly shows why I would not subject the team to a weekly âget togetherâ as it would turn into an interrogation for some. I think you have shown that impatience and desire for oneâs path to be followed are not conducive to progress.
I hope that is clear from this conversation. We work openly and report weekly, which is the project/team that folk invest their time into. Itâs not for everyone, and there is no harm in that. I feel what you want will exist in some other team, but not here.
I agree with that, but it has to be super simple to join and always on
If it was led by the team and moderated well it wouldnât be too intrusive.
