Hey @JimCollinson
The development of Dart now being FFI (Rust → Dart) capable might be a lot better for mobile app development on SafeNetwork using Flutter rather than having to use c# stuff, which felt like fitting a square peg in a round hole.
If material design is going to be a focus (and you seem to be a big a fan as I) then I think something like this could be a good use of resources regarding BGF.
Something to perhaps share with the team.

So, is the work that Cris O’Neil and/or Cris Connelly have been doing related to this fund? If not, is there any development related to this fund happening?

Not as yet. We’re aiming towards this. Things are still a bit up in the air, but it is very much the plan to be using BGF for some of our contractors

@JimCollinson has anyone considered staking the funds eth. It could be earning up to ~$140k per year if the foundation ran it’s own validator.

Depends on the queue but I think it has been averaging a little over 2 weeks or so. (Not 100%) considering the reward, that doesn’t seem terrible.
If a buffer is required stake 90%.

What the current state of play with this fund? Will entering beta unlock some of the fund to support community development?

Why are we not using this as intended?
@BambooGarden did ask a similar question recently but I don’t think a real answer was provided.
Back in the day we had a community board to work on this, if the team is busy (understandable)
Perhaps we should revisit community assistance.
Time for this fund per it’s intention is now.
Seems all guns available should be blazing?

I think this may be treated like a (partial?) answer:
So, IF program is funded from this, as well as some wages/contracts for some other stuff.
Also, on yesterday’s AMA with @Edmund_Sutcliffe (REGRU project), @Bux wrote something, that I interpret as BGF being a part of the foundation now (not 100% sure, pardon my English).
