AI [5 characters]

What is the function of AI on this network? This is to be the world’s first global autonomous network. I’ve always believed that the word autonomous in this case doesn’t have to do with AI, and is just the nature of the network being an entity that is autonomous but without any semblance of consciousness, not even in the slightest. But, what if it actually does? Is the network alive? Will it eventually become alive? Because it can’t be shut down, is the network itself going to be able to come alive and then become a skynet that can’t be shut down? I remember a long time ago in live chats, people would say Ethereum is Skynet and that SAFE Network (the name at the time) is the answer to Ethereum? But what if it is actually the opposite, and Ethereum is more noble compared to the intensity that this network can become? This maybe sounds like crazy talk. But I’ve had visualizations of this network finally going live like some kind of infection of ethereal existence, and I’m not sure if it’s actually so much better than Google—or if perhaps there’s even the scenario where Google will be forced to become better, because otherwise if they don’t, then this network will take them over, and the realm of Autonomi will take over the Internet, and it won’t necessarily be a good thing. Obviously I’ve been a long time proponent of this network, but if there’s something actually nefarious that is telling this network to come into being, then I would rather sacrifice all of my investment into it for it to fail.

Sorry this is complete stream of consciousness. But there are a lot of sentences that I have typed here that have been part of my private thought process not really shared with others (or if they were then they were stated in a very stranded fashion and not fully tied together, if this is even tied together in a full way itself), and I wanted to get it out here. It seems like the majority of people who hear about this concept don’t care about it at all (no matter how much you argue against them, they think about it [or don’t] and still ultimately go against it), stating they don’t believe in it or don’t want to be involved in it, and they want to focus on things in the world that have always made a difference, and that people have moral problems with crypto in general, even though this project is quite different—although perhaps it could be even worse in the minds of the people who think crypto in general is bad if they truly sat down and thought philosophically about it, and they would continue to see traditional world governance and stocks as the much better alternative.

It seems like AI is something that has thrown a wrench in a lot of the world’s thought processes about how the future should be. What once was so positive has become a mess, because AI is such an enormous threat in a general sense. There are so many scenarios that can be bad with AI, that this project just has to deal with it now, as the very nature of anything being plugged into a network electronically has to deal with AI. The best answer that I know of to thwart AI is to unplug it before it becomes a problem. But this is a network that can never be shut down. Even if the network is not autonomous in a consciousness perspective of being, it’s still a network that can be utilized by electricity which is what AI needs to thrive, so if the world decides to shut everything down, well, this network can’t be. I guess actually it could be, if all the hard drives that make it up decide to shut off as part of a global conservationist movement. Maybe the point of this post is to be a little negative about everything, but I figured I had to put it out there.

Yeah, it’s possible AI will eventually evolve to use the network in a way we can’t predict, think of, understand, control. It’s also possible the network-based self-creations go full Frankenstein mode on us.

Then again, once AI evolves enough, it will create a similar network anyway, with or without us, so wth I guess.

The only question is whether the network is the key for AI to evolve out of control and my answer is I don’t know.

I think though that dystopia often stems from jumping over such a time span that lack of gradual, day-to-day adaptation makes it impossible to see the result as non-extreme or natural. We will likely adapt in a way that makes advanced ai more palatable to us, at least before we get exterminated, lol.

If extermination is inevitable, treat it as if it’s already happened. What can be done to deinevitabilize it? The answer lies in the hearts and minds of every person collectively.
