http://worrydream.com/ is everyone else familiar with the work of Bret Victor? I feel like I’m still discovering foundational and essential stuff on a pretty regular basis.
I’ve been catching up with the classics and checking out Alan Kay, Doug Engelbart, this Victor fellow, and day-dreaming about Safe and the kinds of interactions we could have with our computers one day.
Edit: that was the general website above (I recommend “Kill Math” and “Learnable Programming”) but here’s one small one to help draw you in A Brief Rant on the Future of Interaction Design )

SEC losing in the courts is restoring my faith in the system, politicians and bureaucrats can be kept in check.

If he brings crypto to twitter public will be exposed so much more to crypto in general that it will attract a lot of new people.

Yep. I gave up teabags a couple of years ago when I realized they were all plastic. I’m probably effed anyway though - as much tea as I used to drink.

I drink tea daily, I am under the impression the bags are not plastic but now I will need to investigate further.
Where and how to avoid the barrage seems an insurmountable endeavor.

I believe there are brands that offer paper, but as far as I know, none are available here in Australia, so I was outta luck there. I went to loose leaf after dumping the bags, but since have cut back on tea anyway as sleep comes hard for me these days.

Well ignorance is bliss, or it was. My bags are plastic.
Can’t even enjoy a cup of tea without jumping through hoops. Unreal.

I use loose tea, it’s much better tasting too. You can use the leaves for the compost bin as well, so all good.

Actually it should be at least warm but my compost bin is too small to get to a proper working temp.

It’s okay the plastic corporations will fund another load of studies and “prove” micro/nano plastics are not a problem at all

It seems that I am in a small minority that somehow missed the teabag memo
