oh - and if you happen to need a digital billboard with 6 sticky notes on it (e.g for writing down what you need from the supermarket - or for a brainstorming session) you can use the Billboard App

http://<your_dweb_ip_port>/?owner_secret=<aRandomValidBLSsecret>

you can use @mav 's
site to generate a new secret:

then it takes some moment to start up a blank billboard that you can use from there on

it’s a pretty simple app but it’s not completely useless xD

EDIT: major usability-improvement incoming → autoupdate all sticky notes that are not being edited atm once per minute

Salmon Rushdie recently said writers have nothing to fear from AI until it can write comedy.

Still waiting…

We had the tech to build asutonomou lawnmowers when I was a child - I tried to build a simple bot of my own (no CPU required). The mechanics were tricky for me then (a couple of motors driving Meccano wheels and an old castor of a chair at the rear), and the idea was to follow white lines on a dark floor. X decades later are we really much further with today’s roombas et al - which are as much about hoovering up data as dust.

I’m sure things will continue to improve but endless hype obscures where we are what is really coming when. So I ignore it until the offers are there and I can go buy something useful for my. So far I don’t see anything.

Does anyone know what this CLN thing is the Autonomi team talks about? I must have missed what that’s about.

Client light networking (or light client networking)

Well, our networking stack is large and complex (12k lines of code) and is shared between the node and the client. Light-client-networking is an attempt to break away from this heavy piece of code and replace it with a simple 1k-lines-of-code alternative that the client can use. It’s a huge code simplification client side that should lead to significant performance improvements, but it’s still a work in progress.

Well, for people that find Elon´s “salutes” cute and charming there is probably nothing wrong at all with the current tuning of twitter’s algorithm.

So the latest musk tweet is fun. Trump being part of the epstein files being the reason for them not being made public.

It’s unbelievable how rapidly that bromance fell apart. But on X, seriously?

But it’s all theater isn’t it? Left wing, right wing, same corrupt bird of prey. It’s a charade for midwits just like pro sports are a charade for cretins.
