can we get that in ELI5 please?

“Sin semilla” is Spanish for “without seeds”. “Sensimilla” is a common mistake.

didn’t expect you to sidestep that easily :grinning:

Ahem. Urban Dictionary: Sensimilla

I’m surprised you haven’t corrected ‘ting’ yet…

I saw that. Still, I’m right and that dictionary is wrong. Sic!

My understanding Looking down at the project from the helicopter

After the last public testnet the codebase has been examined, and found to not work in the the former form. So now additional support systems are implemented to increase the uptime for next public testnet.

I was hoping that the solution would have been to shrink the complexity.

Hopefully I got it wrong

The last testnet though was missing important features that were to be added as well. So not only is there coding to fix issues, but also adding the rest of AE and the initial testing of an actual viable reward/purchasing system.

It was of no surprise that there would be an increase, especially after all the refactoring reducing sizes previously.

Of course as always we will see what the next testnet will bring.

For sure we have done this. The lines of code did massively reduce from the old parsec days, however it’s 2 things we need to consider, lines of code and code complexity. We have reduced complexity by a huge amount with Ae, but may have added lines of code to do that while deleting the older complex blocks.

readability is a huge thing though and @danda has just improved that X10 with this diagramming tool.

tl;dr
We are better than OK at this point

Great job Maidsafe team … keep planting those saplings, we’ll have an oak forest of data storage in the future.

For the aussies: Is a DAG tree daggy? Not if well pruned! – I presume “daggy” is just aussie slang … if not, then it’s a pun for all.

Thx 4 the update Maidsafe devs

The UML dia gives a great overview, clear explanation also.

Does the PR mean that the work on this DAG is pretty much done already?

Or is this another big new addition that’s got to be worked on a lot over the coming months?

very probably
no

It was merged three days ago, so I’d say that means it is pretty much done.

Shoosh, @cryptonewsday doesn’t like his FUD flung back in his face so effectively.
Poor wee guy.

Lol, how is a question FUD?

For that matter how is politely answering my question flinging anything in my face?

I had even hit the heart to like your answer as I’m happy to hear it looks like its already done.
