Woo Hoo! I’ve got chunks!
That’s a phrase I didn’t ever imagine myself saying.

Thanks for double checking, looks like we have our first community raised issue!
Just about all of the team are finished up for the day so leave this with us and we’ll ping you in due course for some further details
Considering past test nets, there is no risk of a section split. If I remember correctly there were always less than 200 nodes and a majority of them were provided by Maidsafe.
Thanks for your time. Probably something my end but will be glad to try and help.
I’m trying to install the CLI but I get this at the end after running the download script. Do I need to do something manually to have a bash profile? Noob to CLI stuff ![]()
=> Shell profile not found. Tried ~/.bashrc, ~/.bash_profile, ~/.zshrc, and ~/.profile
=> Create one of them and run this script again
OR
=> Append the following lines to the correct file yourself:
Are you on Windows?
On Mac my man. Which I assumed meant I didn’t need to manually install bash.
Macs are alien territory for me. I’m like my mum when I try to use one. Found this:
This page came in handy. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Hmm. Now I have a bash profile and SAFE CLI is set to its $PATH but no $safe commands are working… So I can’t install the safe api common that is next in the user guide. I’ll keep plugging away but any help is appreciated.
Note that bashrc is just for convenience of not having to type path… but if you’re in the directory with the file, just add ./ so ./safe files put
the path is about the option for just typing safe.
So, MacOS might be different but I’d expect there’s option to right-click start terminal from the folder that has the safe executable… or change directory with cd /home/nigel/safe/was/put/here/cli
I ended up doing the former of setting up a bash profile not the bashrc. I’m newt this so maybe I’m missing something obvious. Btw, I’m just trying to run the command to install the safe-api’s, then vault, then authd but I for whatever reason the console doesn’t recognize any of the commands I’m copying and pasting from the user guide.
Back in
! Odroid / Debian
Had to build SAFE-API and SAFE-VAULT manually.
All flawless.
Waiting for chunks now…
Someone has apparently posted this to r cryptocurrency but I couldn’t find it. Unless it was removed. Little help?
In any case we should let reddit friends know.
In Linux which is to my mind the same as MacOS commandline, the script sets a line in home directory ~/.bashrc
=
export PATH=$PATH:/home/username/.safe/cli
Which Odroid? I think I will be disappointed, but it would be so cool.
Also, did you use a community distro? etc etc
Any tips gratefully received, maybe a new topic for Odroid with Baby Fleming would be an idea.
I’ll dig mine out tomorrow and have a go.
hc2
and [OS] Debian Stretch - ODROID
(might be newer version, didn’t check)
Is there a number of vaults per LAN limitation for this test?
(before give myself an unnecessary headache)
Got it! and lol I don’t even want to share why I was stuck. ![]()
