Not as much SAFE related work, been waiting for the safecoin side of things still, but do intend to make another version of SAFE-FS on AlphaNet in the near future mostly to lay out the app flow for now, leaving gaps for functionality as SAFE gets finalized. Like a skeleton version with mock buttons for now.
Was really putting alot of time into my @droneforests work for a while since the news about the Amazon. There’s really so much potential for automated, open source, scalable seed planting drone systems to make a real dent in the climate problem. More than anything else I feel. Similar with ocean cleaning ROV “drones” especially if they all run 24/7 on swappable battery packs charged at a little solar area. That tech has some similar reddit pages, forums & groups that kind of remind me of this community in ways
But it’s sad how it seems like there’s a new issue to worry about almost every few months now. Like how coronavirus is stopping all events and meetups all over the world now.
Check out ‘The Ocean Cleanup’ they’re doing a lot to clean up the great pacific garbage patch. Now they are tackling the rivers that feed the plastic waste to the ocean. Great project that I’ve donated to a couple times cause they really deserve the support, I would encourage others to as well if you can.
I really like the drone seeding of forests btw, neat idea. Is there a focus on areas that have experienced massive wild fires like out west?
If you mean the US then the biggest one for America seems to be Droneseed of Seattle I think, would have to double check though. But the one I’m thinking of out there was doing really interesting work because they’re making a scalable hectacre system that can basically be used anywhere. Like govt grants could be spent on it in any country and be way more effective. But yeah, definitely California could use it out there, or anywhere that’s getting more fires from climate change.
