A new feature was recently added to the safe_auth CLI, this time to allow the use of either a config file , or environment variables ( SAFE_AUTH_SECRET and SAFE_AUTH_PASSWORD ), to read the SAFE account credentials from, so the user doesn’t need to type them in each time the CLI is executed. This should also allow the safe_auth CLI to be easily integrated with other tools or applications.

SAFE Launcher Authorisation

The topics about deeper system integrations let me wonder if it’s necessary to use the launcher as a single authorisation point. Although I see the upsides of this, I think it would be inconvinient to fire up the launcher and enter credentials everytime before enabling e.g. some file-browser integrations. Would it be possible to “integrate” launcher functionality into apps? If this is not the case, is it planned to offeer an option to auto-start launcher and store credentials?
