Centralized influence of news distribution needs to be removed. There is always the possibility, and indeed the case, that manipulation of information is being done on all levels. Trust and reputation are useless for ensuring correct news content. Especially since it’s that kind of trick that can be used to fool the masses. Someone may have information that has been verified by many what is believed to be credible sources, and the information can still be complete disinfo.
