If the network charge for register an account and you are a new comer, you won’t be able to farm until you get your first safecoins from the exchanges, or another user. Bad thing. At the beginning it’s necessary a lot of farmers.

It should, the network just knows names as 512bit values, so we should at user level support all characters - in my opinion

But if you intend to farm, you must register an account.
Are you saying there’s a way to farm anonymously, where the network credits some anonymous account and keeps it safe for you until such time you decide to open an account and cash out?

The idea of the non-persistent vault is that a vault will always have to start with a wallet address into which it will get paid. Either you provide an existing wallet or it can generate a new wallet at moment of starting; in which case at client side you’d better make sure that the private key for that new wallet are stored.

The obvious advantage (and presumably how it will pan out) is that if you start a vault with your MAID logged in for that vault; you can automatically store the wallet and those private keys under your MAID account and never worry about managing them or losing them.

If it can self-generate a wallet address, you don’t need to create an account?

Now I’m very curious what the Vault interface looks like.

I have to put a little disclaimer here: I am not up to date with the design of SAFE Launcher so I might have said a general statement that would be restricted by (security) requirements imposed by SAFE Launcher. I have to look into that myself to be more precise or clear here. SO really good question! thanks !

That sounds like a contradiction in terminus lol. Safecoin will only be available on the Safe Network, so how can one pay with Safecoin during first-time registration to the Safe Network?

So could this confuse a new user do you think? They are like oh I’ve heard about this I’ll check it out. They download the client but don’t contribute anything cause they just want to browse and aren’t committed to it yet. Then when they come back they put in their credentials and are told they have been taken or lost? I think this idea is essential don’t get me wrong but if something like this is implemented I think the confusion it could cause to a network newbie should be averted with a “just looking to browse? Check out our Firefox extension!” Or something of the like. Am I wrong here?
