I have a question about OMNI. It is my understanding that its a pretty stagnant project. If it ends up taking longer than we think to get to SNT launch, is there a chance we lose that functionality, say 2 years down the road? Forgive my ignorance if this is a dumb question.

Im in a few old omni based projects. Agoras was in the same boat, long development time, community wanted exchanges. They decided to allow on exchange upgrade to erc20 if the exchanges supported and they did (whitebit and some other i think). But it exclude me as an American. For their american audience we can keep our omni and swap if/when the platform launches, or sell and buy from dex (taxable boo). Effectively imo we are excluded and i dont particuarly like that, but i dont swing trade anyways. It just removes my ability to exit if i need to.
Edit to add an old masternode coin i am in just swapped to a BSC token. They had everything automated nice and easy ended up in my metamask. (Coin is ferim)

Will MaidSafe support erc20MAID to Safe Network Token ?

I would also support BEP20 token, even it also mean lot of engagement from MaidSafe. Maybe it is easier than last time or it could be erc20 to BEP20.

I voted no because many people will not wish to take out of their cold wallets MAID they are waiting to convert.
Remove the full omni to erc20 and indicate its optional to do it and Iād vote yes.

Thatās a no from me. Obliging exchanges stoppong market for a day, all looks off.
Also, motive seems to be for money and access to exchanges now, rather than concern for after swap. This might be useful for after the safenetwork coin swap from m Omni but OP not arguing that interest from what I see of it.

My view is that it is to attract more potential users. Currently, only 17k address have MAID tokens to use in the Safe network. If we have ERC20 MAID, I think we can at least double these people ā¦
Let me put it this way, I will personally send ERC20 MAID tokens to another 17k people

Spamming tokens is a poor marketing technique.
If this was centred after omni to safe network swap is done for stimulating access on off ramp, that would be interesting.
Do the people voting Yes understand this is a forced MAID to ERC20 swap which requires everyone to convert, even if they havenāt been back to the forum for a period and just waiting for live network. There are 17K address you said, so there is every likelihood that many people holding MAID have no clue this is being suggested.
I wonder if the vote would be the same if they realised this is not an optional swap, since every swap talked about previously has always been optional.
EDIT: Also for many people, maybe most, this will cause a reportable tax event no matter if no value change or not.

There will be no spamming. I have personally given a few hundred people MAID. I promoted Safe on the streets in the past. With the release of the new test network, I ordered the printing of new 10k posters and I will go out again on the streets. If the token is divisible, I will be able to easily distribute it to thousands of people while explaining to them what Safe is.

Talk about massive feature creep though. I donāt see how anyone could vote yes if you really are proposing that, nor do I see how itās doable.
Safe Network tokens will be accessible via many different methods, including those not relying on a blockchain.

Iām not sure if thatās a given. Seems several options have been bandied about. I agree, though, that it would be pretty impossible to ensure all 17k addresses get converted.
True but @Dimitar confirmed above that this poll is for a full (forced) conversion and exchange for SNT will only be from ERC20

This is my view, if you know any other way how things can happen? For example, another option I can think of is if Safe tokens can be exchanged simultaneously for OMNI and ERC20?
