For the most part I’ve always considered “Saltcoins” (Altcoins on Safe) to be rather silly and have taken the position that it’s far simpler to just use SNT for any and all transactions.

If I understand correctly, I asked pretty much the same question here with PDC/Clikes as an example.

Hard Forking SAFE Network

To be honest, I never understood the point of having the separate PDC coin for Project Decorum. Maybe @Seneca or @bzee could explain?

I still don’t get it, but I haven’t put a great deal of thought into it. Thanks for bringing it up again.

If an app devloper can create his own token, then he has huge motivation to bring new userbase, promote his token.

Why not just promote the app itself, and make money in the form of SNT?
