MaidSafe rebuilding secure decentralised internet with BnkToTheFuture equity fundraising

Yes i wondered about WB21 how they managed to do it so quick… Then i investigated the background of the owner, and he is the one biggest crooks in bitcoin-land. I dont have the link anymore but watch out, do some research.

I’ve been thinking about this and I think it’s more interesting than it seems at first glance.

That 1% licensing fee and the patents maidsafe/foundation holds mean there is potential for the company to be worth a decent amount of money even if this version of safenet fails, for whatever reason.

I also think illiquidity has benefits too. I very much doubt any of the fb angels would have held out for 8 years by choice, most prob would have sold for a fraction of the billions that was eventually handed out to them. I think it can be quite a good and profitable thing to be tied more firmly to the success of something that has HUGE potential. I sold most of my Eth by the time it hit a $300M cap… who knew it would keep going that far that quickly?! Bit of illiquid diversification and hedge for the tech against the network. It actually feels quite sensible and shrewd rather than just loyal to the cause. I might even add to my investment depending on what bitcoin and maid do over the next 30 days.

In the YouTube playlist that’s at the top of the bttf page, I think the ‘Keiser Report’ video should be at least one video later. There’s another interview that would come after it, too, if it was pushed back one video. /2scents
Also some of those videos could very well use a transcription/closed captioning. Any way people could contribute to that?

Love watching those numbers go up. Fascinating.

Interesting … I think most BNK investors are English-language speakers, but were you thinking b/c of the accent?

Not much investment yet

only 97k in almost 12h

@dlux yeah that’s what I was thinking. almost bed time so I forgot that part. I was mainly thinking of it for the Keiser report one, and only the parts where David talks :stuck_out_tongue: , unless someone wants to do more of it (for some reason).

@Wallet111 well there’s 720 hours left, so if things keep going as they are, that’s CA $ 5,820,000 :stuck_out_tongue:

It may go fast once the pitch officially launches on Monday. Perhaps this may just be a good chance for community members to get in early

Of course that does mean you have to be verified which still seems to be an issue for some. I’m really hoping that verification won’t be the reason for some to miss out on this pitch. Let’s see, I’m sure Bank to the Future is doing what they can to get people able to invest via their platform.

Not sure how it was leaked to be honest and if it was him who did it. Just to clarify the “free investment” part of his tweet; I think you get a 100 Startcoin when you join up. This is another crypto currency. Not sure what it’s worth right now, but not too much I think. Perhaps you can make the 100 Startcoin part of your investment, but you’d still have to invest close to a 1000 Pounds to be able to invest in Maidsafe on Bank to the Future.

Just so that people don’t get over excited about the free investment when they read this

Bnkofthefuture shareholders can invest few days earlier and i did share the link. Link is now removed becouse i did not know it is broken. Link should work only to shareholders.

if usd 6 million can be raised in 5 hrs during crowdsale, i think its entirely possible that usd 2.6 million worth of shares can be bought in a day, just saying

You mean people that invested in Bank to the Future’s own pitch? Because I invested in other pitches on BTTF and I didn’t receive any notice about investing in this pitch early. Wasn’t accusing you of doing anything wrong though, just to be clear

Possible - but improbable. The £1k price of entry is a pretty big barrier. I’m sure the target will be hit in 30 days though

Different type of investment though and only verified investors on Bank to the Future can invest in the pitch, which makes the group of possible investors a lot smaller. Also the minimum investment of a 1000 pounds may be an issue for some. Would be great though if it would reach it’s target soon after it officially launches on Monday.

I would just leave it now Mark, the cat, or at least its paw, is out of the bag. Thanks for asking.

Read bttf pitch Forum. Notice is there.

You probably mean the investor forum for the Bank to the Future pitch? This forum is only visible to the investors that invested in Bank to the Future. I didn’t invest on that pitch so the forum for that pitch is not visible to me. If you mean another forum could you link to it? I can’t seem to find a general forum on Bank to the Future.

Yes thats what i meant. Sorry I thought you are bttf sharehoulder.

I didn’t need to provide any real identification to invest in MaidSafe. I paid with bitcoin, though.
