I’m in too…
To quote some random guy: tremendous, huge, fantastic, incredible!
The “max capacity” of the vault is configurable, but default 20 Gigabyte? That is what I make of contents of file safe_vault.vault.config anyway.
23 Mbyte at the moment in my /tmp/safe_vault_chunk_store directory.
Reminder, because I didn’t see it in this dev update: SAFE presentation this sunday in Brussels.
Not sure If I come (was already there in Amsterdam).
safe://test.aenemic/
play some drums. although the names are wrong, couldnt be bothered looking for all the samples.
It had to be @Viv …
How did you guess A wee laugh during some of the tests, now you know even if you have less than the required bandwidth “we will never give you up”
I keep getting rejected
but it’s fine as long as the MAID price keeps going to the moon
Very clever indeed…half the samples trigger for me…quick to load down under.
Yes the join path is limited and vaults may have to try a few times to get in while the network grows. It saves spam starting of nodes and flood attacks while we are small. It will get easier as the network grows though. Again it’s aggressive protection right now as we move onward through the work just now. Hope you get in soon though.
You guys really are somethin else. In true Maidafe spirit.
Hey guys, I guess you don’t mind, but I will be uploading and storing some SAFE app’s files in your home’s vaults in the next few hours/days
Looking forward to it! Got my 300/300 up and running
Make sure to use proper naming for your chunks. Something like: Bochaco000000000000001.dat
You know, my Vault rejects chunks with gibberish naming ;-).
All we need now is a SAFE chat app using appendable data. IRC style at the very least.
Spending a happy evening watching the chunks build up in my store. Much better than watching the news.
Took a while, but working great now!
Uploading 100 MB chopped in pieces went quite well. Will upload some more tomorrow when we have more community nodes online.
Great update guys!
I don’t have the bandwidth to run a vault but am uploading files to test12 as I write this. I’m impressed with the speed on my 15mb download adsl
Thanks for all your hard work and dont drink too much over the next few weeks with all the team being there!
Is caching active? The first download of a 22MB file took ~45 seconds. The second time took <10 seconds. Beautiful…
